Reporting obligations of the Taxonomy Regulation - application date has to be changed

In a letter to EU Commissioner McGuiness, we plead for a postponement of the application date of the reporting obligations to the Taxonomy Regulation. According to Article 8 of the Taxonomy Regulation, companies are required to report on their sustainable economic activities in relation to turnover, CapEx and OpEx from June 1, 2021. However, the delegated acts on the reporting requirements, which should have been available by the end of 2020, are not expected to be published until June 2021. Companies need sufficient time to implement the requirements of the delegated acts, otherwise there is a risk of inaccuracies or even errors in the reported data.
