BOARD: The EU Omnibus Initiative in the field of sustainability

The EU Commission's Omnibus Package I, published at the end of February, aims to simplify existing reporting requirements for companies. But are the EU Commission's proposals heading in the right direction? Henriette Peucker, Chief Executive and Member of the Board of Deutsches Aktieninstitut, and Jessica Göres, Head of Sustainability Reporting, analysed this in an article for BOARD – Magazine for Supervisory Boards in Germany. In their view, further adjustments are necessary to achieve real relief for capital market-oriented companies in Europe and to truly consolidate reporting requirements in one place.
