BOARD: Practical check ESG reporting requirements

In July, Deutsches Aktieninstitut and EY published a study entitled “ESG Reporting: What German CFOs Say.” It highlights the current challenges and opportunities of European sustainability reporting for listed companies in Germany. Many CFOs view reporting requirements as more of a bureaucratic hurdle than a real lever for transformation. In an article for BOARD – Magazine for Supervisory Boards in Germany, Henriette Peucker, Chief Executive and Member of the Board of Deutsches Aktieninstitut, and Dr. Uta-Bettina von Altenbockum, Head of Sustainability, summarize the key findings and place them in a political context. They also make recommendations on how reporting requirements can be simplified so that they actually support transformation.
