That is around four million more than 10 years ago, including an increasing number of young people. More and more people are realizing that a long-term and broadly diversified equity exposure is essential for wealth creation and retirement provision. Is everything good in the land of the former equity sceptics? No, because four out of five people in Germany are still foregoing the attractive returns offered by shares. According to Fey, politicians must send out a clear signal in favor of equity investments by integrating equities more strongly into old-age provision.
