Deka-Podcast: Money on Her Mind (in German)

If you want to generate high returns in the long term, you can't avoid investing in equities, was one of the messages from Dr. Christine Bortenlänger, Managing Director of Deutsches Aktieninstitut, in the podcast "Money on Her Mind". In a conversation with host Tanja Heinrich and Deka economist Dr. Gabriele Widmann, she emphasized the importance of investing in equities for a solid retirement provision and successful asset accumulation. The key is to invest in equities on a long-term, regular and, above all, broadly diversified basis, for example in equity ETFs. Even with a small amount of money, it is possible to invest in shares in this way today.

According to Bortenlänger, it is also important that we address the issue of "financial education" in Germany. The topic of money should not remain a taboo subject. The best way, he said, is to introduce children to the subject of money and how to deal with it at an early age. The Aktieninstitut very much welcomes the financial education initiative launched by the German government and will continue to support it.
