In a position paper on the EU Commission's consultation on commodity derivatives market analysis, we have come out in favour of simplifying the reporting of derivatives. This would apply, for example, to the application procedure for reporting exemptions for intra-group transactions. We also strongly advocate maintaining the existing exemptions for the use of commodity derivatives and emission allowances by non-financial companies, as these are practical.
