Preserve reporting exemption for intra-group transactions
As part the review of the EU derivatives regulation EMIR, the EU Commission proposes to abolish the reporting exemption for intra-group derivatives transactions, which was introduced only two years ago. In our position paper we strongly criticise this proposal. Intra-group transactions do not increase the financial risk of a company. Therefore, the reporting does not bring any benefit to the supervisory authorities, but is associated with a high implementation effort for the companies.
