Standortfördergesetz: only small steps

Deutsches Aktieninstitut supports the draft bill for a Act to strengthen Germany as a financial center and to promote innovation financing (Standortfördergesetz). However, the proposed measures far from sufficient to stimulate the mobilization of private funds and the growth of the German economy, as the draft bill itself states as its objective. We are therefore advocating an ambitious package of measures comprising the following elements: 

• Make the framework for raising capital in the German Stock Corporation Act significantly more flexible
• Simplify capital market regulation at German and European level in a consistent approach
• Strengthen equity investment in all pillars of the pension system and regarding wealth building of people as a prerequisite for strengthening the financial center and improving innovation financing
