Handelsblatt: Israel as a role model for pensions
With its early retirement pension scheme, the German government aims to make the pension system more future-proof. Every schoolchild is to receive ten euros a month from the state to provide for their retirement. However, many details are still unclear: which products the money will be invested in, whether parents will be allowed to top up the amount, and what will happen to the capital after the child's 18th birthday. In the Handelsblatt article, Henriette Peucker, Chief Executive and Member of the Board of Deutsches Aktieninstitut, presents the findings of the joint study with Vanguard, ‘Children's investment accounts in international comparison,’ and what Germany can learn from it.
The article was published in print on 30 September 2025.
