Consultation regarding SME Listings: Reduce Administrative Burden – Mobilise Capital of Retail Investors

Deutsches Aktieninstitut supports the aim of the European Commission to reduce administrative burden for stock listed SMEs. In its position paper on the respective consultation Deutsches Aktieninstitut stresses that capital market rules, that does not enhance investor protection, should be abandoned for every issuer irrespective of its size. In addition, to facilitate more IPOs of SMEs it is of utmost importance to raise capital of retail investors via an extension of share possession in the pension system.
