Deutsches Aktieninstitut comments on the upcoming European Securities Law Legislation

Deutsches Aktieninstitut supports many of the EU Commission's objectives regarding the planned harmonisation of the EU securities law, e.g. the improvement of the cross-border identification of shareholders as well as thier participation in general meetings. However, Deutsches Aktieninstituts is very concerned that as a result of the harmonisation securities law could gain priority over national corporate law. The position paper has been developed in co-operation with the associatio nof German insurers.
