Ready for Takeover 2.0? - German issuers’ readiness for public takeovers – A renewed assessment

"Ready for Takeover 2.0?" is the follow-up to a benchmark study prepared by Deutsches Aktieninstitut together with White & Case. A first joint study on the question of how German companies position themselves as bidders or as potential targets of a public takeover was already published in 2018. Now the survey has been repeated against the backdrop of the changed macroeconomic environment and geopolitical crises. Contributions from legal practice, which follow the empirical part of the study, take up the survey results.
